· Chilton City Band is starting a spring concert program; rehearsals are Tuesday nights beginning Jan 6 and running through March 10 from 7:30 - 8:45 in the Chilton HS Band room. If you would like more information please talk to AJ Yerkman or Mrs.Lenz. You should be in 8th grade or older to be eligible to play.
Middle School:
· The Parent Network will be holding a Bake Sale at the MS Winter Concert on December 19th. If you would like to donate items for the sale, please have the items in a container that does not need to be returned and please drop off in the office on the 18th or the morning of the 19th.
High School:
· The following students should see Mrs. Terri to have their volunteer hour sheets signed for the Optimist Bingo event: David A-R, Diego B, Angie P. and Emma Z.

· Student Services will host a YA check-in with Ms. Kelly on Tuesday, December 16. Junior students interested in the Youth Apprenticeship program may schedule an appointment with Ms. Amanda that day to meet with Ms. Kelly and learn more about the program.

Scholarships:
· Wally & Faith Sonnabend Family Fund offers 1 @ $1000 to a student planning on furthering education at a 4yr college and 1 at $500 for a student planning to attend technical college. Applications are available in Student Services. Deadline to apply is March 1st
· The Sherwood American Legion is now accepting applications for the Thomas E. Kees American Legion – Post 496 Scholarship. Award amounts vary — last year, one of our very own students received $1,000! Eligibility & Criteria: Academic achievement, Relationship to a Post 496 member or a veteran/active military member, Involvement in extracurricular activities and community service, Work experience and personal accomplishments, Completion of the application and essay. Deadline to apply: March 1st
· Vietnam Veteran of America, Appleton Area Chapter 351, Richard Poukey Memorial
Scholarship- 2 @ $1000. This scholarship is eligible to students who are a dependent, relative
or acquaintance of any US Vietnam era vet of any branch of the service who served active
duty. Applications must be postmarked by February 28th.
· Applications for St. Mary’s Catholic School Alumni Scholarships are available in Student Services. This scholarship is worth $250 and you must have attended St. Mary’s through 6th grade to apply. Application is due March 1st.
· The Community Blood Center awards one $500 scholarship to an HHS senior who has participated in the school’s blood drive program as a donor, recruiter or volunteer. You must plan and execute a creative project or presentation that will educate and inspire individuals to make blood donation a life-long practice (examples: essay or blog entry –max 500 words; web page; recorded speech or song (max 3 min); commercial or video (max 1 min). · The Hilbert Potter Optimists are offering a $500 scholarship to one HHS student with the opportunity to advance to the district level for a chance at an additional $2500 scholarship. You must write a 700-800 word essay based on the official contest topic, “How My Acts of Service Help Me Understand What My Community Means to Me”. · Kohler Credit Union - 5 @ $10,000 to student (or their parents) who has been a member of the credit union for at least 2 years, 3.25 GPA, enrolled in a 4yr college in the state of WI, and a high school record that shows achievement, character, leadership, citizenship and involvement in school & community activities.
